Cookie Policy

Every cookie and browser storage item this site sets, what each is for, and how to change your choices.

What this policy covers

This policy explains the cookies and comparable browser storage used on hainaninc.com, what each is for, and how to change your choices. It complements our Privacy Policy, which covers personal information more broadly.

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Some are required for the site to function; others are optional and are only ever set once you have agreed to them.

Categories we use

Strictly Necessary cookies are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off. On this site the category covers only the record of your own cookie choices.

Functional cookies support enhanced features such as embedded media. Performance cookies let us measure how the site is used. Targeting cookies would support advertising. Two of these four categories currently carry no active cookie at all, as set out in the inventory below; the controls remain available so your preference is already on record if that changes.

Embedded video

Our homepage embeds a video player hosted by Vimeo. The player is configured with Do Not Track enabled, which stops it setting its usual persistent tracking identifier. It is listed under Functional cookies for transparency, though it currently places no persistent cookie of its own.

Following a link away from this site — for example to schedule a call with an external booking provider — takes you to a third party operating under its own cookie and privacy terms, which this policy does not govern.

Vercel Web Analytics

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-preserving traffic measurement service, to count aggregate page views. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. A page view is counted from a hashed value derived from your IP address and browser type, rotated daily, that cannot be linked back to you individually or combined with the Google Analytics data above.

It is listed here for the same reason the video player above is: for transparency, though it currently places no cookie of its own. It is treated as a Performance category service on the same basis as Google Analytics — see 'Analytics loading' below.

Analytics loading

Where a site declares analytics 'consent-based', the vendor script is often still downloaded and simply instructed to withhold cookies. We do not do that. Until you grant the Performance category, no request is made to any of our analytics providers at all.

If you later withdraw that consent, analytics stops recording and the cookies listed above are expired from your browser.

Changing your choices

Select 'Cookie settings' in the footer of any page to reopen the preference centre and change any category at any time. Your choice is remembered for twelve months, after which we will ask again.

You can also clear or block cookies through your own browser settings. Doing so removes the record of your preferences, so you will be asked again on your next visit.

Our services

Our practice areas cover the whole life of a foreign-owned presence in Hainan — from the feasibility assessment made before anything is filed, through formation and licensing, payroll, tax and ongoing compliance, to the deregistration that closes an entity properly — alongside the Free Trade Port incentives that are the reason to be here rather than anywhere else in China. One engagement model means a single accountable team across all of them.

We make Hainan navigable.

The Free Trade Port rewards preparation and penalises gaps in compliance. Our role is to shorten that learning curve: one engagement, one accountable team, and a documented path from first assessment to ongoing compliance.
